There are often times that we tend to neglect the importance of our personal health and well-being. Not intentionally, but simply because we are so focused on trying to be what other people want us to be- we lose ourselves in the process.

I think for most of us; we want to be accepted, just because we are afraid of being judged or criticized. If you haven’t done so already, there are many different ways to begin manifesting yourself into who you aspire to be one day. Never forget where and how it all started. How did you get to this point in your life that you are at today? What position do you see yourself in, looking back at how far you have come?

If we continue to follow what we think is susceptible by society, we will never grow, yet alone prosper. What we need to do is shift our focus to what’s always been vitally important- exploring our own self-worth. I have learned the value of inner beauty and self-worth, and for that sometimes people mistake my confidence for arrogance. Through many of the experiences that I have overcome, I developed a notion that I am unstoppable, and I can achieve anything I set out to do. Furthermore; I think having the ability to believe in yourself stems from doubting what you are truly capable of, being yourself.

A great photographer once told me; “Invest in yourself.” If you don’t invest in yourself, who will?

Here are a few pointers to get you started on the right track:

  1. Think of some of the things that excite you; what makes you happy?

  2. Nurture yourself - Try new ways to meditate as you begin the healing process.

  3. Flaws? We all have them! How can you use your flaws to your advantage? How can you improve those grey areas?

  4. What are your goals and aspirations?

  5. Explore your inner-beauty & self-worth - know that you are beautiful inside and out and remember to never let anyone get the best of you!

  6. How do you find joy in the midst of difficult challenges? What motivates you?

After taking these underlying questions and contributing factors into consideration, you are one step closer to molding yourself into the best version of YOU!

It is time to invest in YOURSELF!
